Squarespace

Sumospeed by Robert Lamb

The all new Sumospeed.com site is now live!  This was a fun project for a great client whom I've worked with a great deal the past few months providing photo coverage of their various car meets.  As usual, Squarespace was the ideal platform for their simple needs, but with a slight twist as we used Ticketbud embedded with a widget so visitors can purchase tickets for next year's Springfest event.   This is a cleaner approach than what they used last year, which forced visitors to navigate away from their homepage.

Priscilla Lynch by Robert Lamb

Priscilla Lynch is now live!  This one was a long time in the making, which may not be clear upon initial viewing.  I built it on Squarespace with a layered design, lots of imagery, parallax scrolling, the whole nine yards.  And over the course of a few weeks the client slowly stripped away all that fluff through routine design reviews - she had a vision and ultimately we got there with something very minimal, embracing white space, and drawing attention to the beautiful swimwear she designs.

Cars & Coffee Virginia Beach by Robert Lamb

I've just launched another personal project - Cars & Coffee Virginia Beach.  For those that don't know, Cars & Coffee are meets that occur around the country, typically a Saturday or Sunday morning where auto enthusiasts gather to talk cars and drink some coffee.  The original Cars & Coffee Virginia Beach domain expired and is now used to sell oolong tea, so I've built a new one.  Take a look!

Sweet Treats by Robert Lamb

Sweet Treats is a Charlotte, NC based vending services company.  They offer candy vending machines for use in fundraising and businesses.  They needed a simple home on the internet and that's what they got - short and sweet!

Mascon Leather by Robert Lamb

Williamsburg, VA custom leather worker Artie Shell asked that I give him some help with his Wordpress site.  We decided to move it to Squarespace as this was an easier platform and was plenty powerful for his needs.  Includes an Etsy Mini storefront and lots of images of beautiful leather work!

PDC & Associates by Robert Lamb

I've recently completed a simple, but clean looking new site for PDC & Associates, a local small business.  They had simple requirements and wanted a site which they could maintain themselves - exactly my niche!  PDC is yet another company that frequently works with the military - I seem to be involved with a lot of those types of companies!  Always love working with organizations and businesses that support our military.

Chris Lamb Music by Robert Lamb

I've just wrapped up a redesign of www.chrislambmusic.com, the website for Chris Lamb, a fantastic composer with a growing portfolio of music.  The new site uses his SoundCloud uploads to allow visitors to stream some of his music.  We also uploaded PDFs of what are called 'perusal scores,' which allow musicians to follow along to the music.  Soon we'll add e-commerce functionality so Chris can sell some of his pieces as well.

RIPSHEARS by Robert Lamb

The RIPSHEARS website is up!  RIPSHEARS is a veteran-owned company that makes trauma shears for EMTs, nurses, doctors, medics, and police.  Their primary product is the standard RIPSHEAR which has a traditional trauma shear with a safety knife attachment which can also double as a reflex hammer and O2 wrench.

Previously this site was averaging about six visitors a day.  Now they are page 1 on Google for 'trauma shears' and other similar search terms.  Plus, because their site was built on Squarespace, the owners can make future changes themselves.
